Call 310-857-2520, or send the list through the form and we will come back to you. Either way it is free, and asking commits you to nothing.
The detail below is here if you want it. You do not need any of it to send us a job.
What to put on the list
Write it the way you would say it out loud. You do not need the right word for anything, and you do not need to know what is wrong.
- Every job in one go. The TV, the door that catches, the shelf that came down, the dresser still in its box. One visit costs a lot less than four, because the drive is the same either way.
- Roughly where it is in the house. Upstairs bathroom, garage wall, kitchen ceiling. It tells us what is likely behind it.
- What the walls are. If you know. Plaster over wood lath in an older place behaves nothing like drywall, and it changes the fixings, the time and the price.
- Photographs, if you can. One of the whole wall or room and one up close. A picture answers questions we would otherwise have to ask you.
- Anything with a deadline. Moving out, a landlord inspection, guests on Friday. Say so and we will tell you honestly whether it is possible.
What happens next
- Someone reads the list and works out what the visit involves. If something important is missing we will text or call before pricing it.
- You get a price for the visit before anything is scheduled. You hear from us directly, usually the same day.
- Nothing is booked until you have said yes to that price. Say no and that is the end of it.
Jobs we will tell you to take elsewhere
Some work has no business being done on a handyman visit, and you are better off knowing before you pay for one than after.
- Anything that needs a permit.
- Panel work, new circuits, gas lines, main drains and anything structural.
- Work running past the state limit for unlicensed minor repair, which needs a licensed contractor.
Send it in anyway if you are not sure. Saying which trade it needs costs you nothing and saves you an afternoon.
If you would rather just talk
Call 310-857-2520. Describe it in whatever words you have. A list read out over the phone works exactly as well as one typed into a form, and some things are quicker to say than to write.
